Tilt Consulting was founded in 2021. From the start we wanted to focus on creating a team of exceptional people – people with a great attitude & people who are great at what they do. We want to build a business based upon talent, expertise & positive behaviours.

Introducing new technology into the railway environment is challenging and time consuming; a railway is a composition of many systems with complex functions and interfaces and these need managing to ensure that client requirements are fulfilled within the strictures of a complex regulatory environment. Problems are commonplace in such an environment and the growing sophistication of solutions to address the demands for a high-quality user experience and improved railway capacity have exacerbated this. Tilt Consulting was formed because we felt that we could add more value than other consultancies to new technology programmes. It is our mission to build a team that possesses the experience, talent, wisdom and right combination of behaviours to make a tangible difference to the quality of outcomes achieved by the deployment of critical & complex technology onto the 21st century railway.
As a new business we’re unencumbered by the customs and structures of much bigger organisations; we’re literally creating our business from the foundations up. This requires a particular kind of person; innovative, inquisitive, self-starting and confident, whilst also possessing integrity and being great at communicating with people - from top to bottom - within an organisation.
We are always keen to recruit individuals, both junior and experienced, who possess these behaviours and have skills in modelling & simulation, systems engineering or technical programme delivery. Experience in control & command systems, traction & rolling stock and other complex railway system domains is preferable.
